The R830-1 Aviation set is a (40) card set likely issued in the 1930's/1940's by an unknown issuer. It is entirely possible that it was Novel Candy or another similar manufacturer of boxed candy cards. The cards picture famous aviators and famous aircraft in a very popular subject of the time period. Subjects include the Wright brothers, Eddie Rickenbacker, Jimmy Doolittle and Howard Hughes.
This lot of (22) cards includes the following numbers: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 21, 22, 29, 30, 31, 32, 37, 38 and 39. The cards range from Poor to EX and average about GVG. This represents over half of this tough to complete series.
