The N307 Mayo's Cut Plug Dances is a die cut series of images picturing dancers in pose with a small tab. The cards were issued in the late 19th century by Mayo's Cut Plug tobacco. The 48 known cards in the set were tabbed to be able to be inserted in the piece in this lot. This piece is a base with numbered slots in it made for accepting the individual pieces from the N307 series.
This piece measures about 8x8 inches and has slots to accept the individual pieces. The front is a muted orange and yellow printing with hatched pattern reminiscent of a tiled floor. The back of the piece outlines the series and the individual numbers for the 48 cards in the series. The piece is in VGEX condition and shows little wear. This is an extremely difficult piece and a great opportunity to complete an N307 set.
