Auction #3 - October 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/27/2019
The T129 Red Man Indian Chiefs set was one of the later-issued tobacco sets in the ACC. The set pictures 40 Indian chiefs of the wild west--a subset of the 50 that were pictured in the N2 Allen & Ginter Indians set of the 1880's. The cards are numbered and are printed on very thin paper and sized 3.5 x 4.0 inches. The artwork on the left half pictures the named Indian, and, like other variations of the Allen & Ginter set, pictures the subject reversed from the original orientation. To his left is a small biography of the Chief and below that biography is the card number.
This lot includes (9) high graded PSA cards to include the following cards: #1 White Swan (PSA7 NM), #3 Young Whirlwind (PSA7.5 NM+), #9 Keokuk's Son (PSA7 NM), #20 Arkikita (PSA7 NM), #22 Many Horns (PSA7 NM), #24 Iron Bull (PSA7 NM), #25 True Eagle (PSA7 NM), #30 Red Thunder (PSA8 NMMT) and #31 Wetcunie (PSA8 NMMT).
