The N171 Goodwin series covers a number of celebrities, actresses and others and were issued in the late 1880's to early 1890's. The baseball and boxing figures are generally significantly more valuable but there are subjects within the non-sports figures that are even more difficult to find but don't have the level of demand.
This lot contains a single N171 Goodwin Old Judge card picturing a small child in an Indian headdress and garb entitled 'Waka'. At first glance, the child does not appear to be a native american but likely just dressed as such. The card has not been previously cataloged anywhere that we can find. It is in VGEX condition but does have a pinhole at the top center that extends through to the back of the card. Very interesting subject on an Old Judge card.
