T42 Lot of (4) PSA-Graded With High-Grade PSA and SGC Examples

The T42 Bird Series is a great series of 100 cards that were made advertising a number of different tobacco companies. There are extreme rarities in the backs of these cards and cards that are easily found. What is not found, however, are super high grade cards like this one. Although the SGC Population reports are somewhat challenged right now, this appears to be the highest graded SGC T42 card with none higher. The PSA reports note (3) T42 Gold Borders that are graded PSA8.

This lot contains a trio of PSA-graded T42's with a single SGC-graded T42. The PSA versions include the subjects Guinea Hen (PSA7 NM Sweet Caporal Back), Peacock (PSA5 EX Sweet Caporal Back) and Scarlet Tanager (PSA5 EX Mecca Back). The SGC card is the Starling subject and has been graded as SGC86 or NM+.
