The N46 Allen & Ginter Cigarette Making Girls pictures women in the act of rolling and making cigarettes--the bread and butter of Allen & Ginter. They are shown sitting or standing working some type of machinery making and hand-rolling cigarettes. The cards are numbered but do not have a subject name and it is widely thought they are actresses or models performing the tasks and not the actual employees of Allen & Ginter. The cards have the characteristic Virginia Brights Cigarettes 'wave' tagline at the bottom along with Allen & Ginter, Richmond, VA.
This lot is for a single N46 Allen & Ginter Cigar Making Girls subject #39 which has been graded by PSA as EXMT6. The card has beautiful photo clarity and crisp clean corners and back. Great addition to any 19th century A&G collection or type card collection.
