R55 Gumakers Frank Buck Complete Set of (48) Cards

The R55 Frank Buck Set is a (48) card set issued by Gumakers of America of Clifton Heights, PA in 1938. The cards picture Frank Buck in his exploits in capturing wild animals all around the world. Frank Buck (March 17, 1884 – March 25, 1950) made many expeditions into Asia and around the world capturing wild animals and bringing them back to the zoos of the Western world. This set and the 1950 Topps set outline many of those expeditions and the animals that Buck brought back.

The condition of this set largely falls between VG and EXMT with most being around VGEX. Five of the cards were previously graded and the PSA/SGC tabs are included with the respective card. They are: #2 PSA3 VG, #6 PSA4 VGEX, #23 SGC40 VG3, #33 PSA3 VG and #34 PSA3 VG. This is a very even set that, with 6-8 upgrades could be a really nice midgrade set.
