These beautiful oversized Marburg Greenback Tobacco Advertising cabinets measure 7-1/2" x 12-1/2". They have deep black borders and typically picture a titled scene or an actress. They also have pictures of the Marburg Greenback and/or Seal of North Carolina packages on them. The backs have a good deal of advertising for the brand in black print. Marburg produced a number of "N" card sets picturing actresses and other subjects.
This cabinet is entitled "The Letter" and pictures two women sitting down reading a letter. Condition is EX to EXMT and the piece displays excellently and has phenomenal lithography by A. Hoen & Company of Baltimore. Just a bit of very light foxing on the back of the cabinet.
