T85-1 Strollers Tobacco Lot of (31) High Grade Cards

The T85 Set was issued with a number of different backs and in subsets that create an interesting collecting opportunity. In addition, the same subjects were used in Tobacco Products in Canada as well as on strip cards in the U.S. as well. To collect all three types for all the different series combinations and permutations is a daunting challenge. The cards are diminutive black and white cards picturing movie stars from the 1920's and 1930's, are numbered on the front in the lower left and have advertising for Strollers cigarettes on the back from the Tobacco Products Corporation of New York City.

This lot of T85's numbers 31 high grade (mostly EXMT or better) cards and includes the following numbers: 1,7,13 Lionel Barrymore,14(2),15,21,23(2),24(2),31,32,33,36,41,43,50,52,53,56,60 Rodolph(sic) Valentino, 61,62,64,65,70,87,88,99 Charles Chaplin,101 Tom Moore. Great lot of cards representing nearly 1/3 of the first series (1-100) of the cards.
