F278-50 Post Bran Flakes Lot of (4) Cut boxes totaling (16) Cards in panels

The F278-50 Post Cereal Famous Americans set was issued in panels of (4) cards on the back of Post cereal in 1930. The set totals (32) cards and presents historical figures with an emphasis on presidents, generals and Wild West characters. In addition, the set includes a card for Christy Mathewson--the famous baseball player.

This lot includes (4) uncut boxes and panels of (4) from the F278-50 Post Famous Americans set. The boxes are all Post Cereal 40% Bran flakes cereal. The boxes have been cut such that the entire box is present except for the top and bottom flap. The four panels include (Lincoln, Lee, Henry, Sitting Bull), (Revere, Jones, King Philip, Houston), (Washington, Buffalo Bill, Peary, Molly Pitcher) and (Custer, Hamilton, Allen and Stonewall Jackson). All 4 panels are in EXMT or better condition. The panel to the left of the card panel contains a Muffin recipe and the panel to the right of the cards has the tagline "A delicious Cereal, A Gentle Laxitive". Fantastic uncut cereal history here.
