The R830-1 Aviation set is a (40) card set likely issued in the 1930's/1940's by an unknown issuer. It is entirely possible that it was Novel Candy or another similar manufacturer of boxed candy cards. The cards picture famous aviators and famous aircraft in a very popular subject of the time period. Subjects include the Wright brothers, Eddie Rickenbacker, Jimmy Doolittle and Howard Hughes.
This near set of (35/40) cards is overall in VGEX to EX condition. There are 3 cards with some amount of paper loss on the front of the card including 18, 23 and 29. There are a few cards with paper loss on the back corners as is very common where the cards were removed from the boxes. The missing 5 cards are 16, 19, 20, 25 and 35.
