The T85 Set was issued with a number of different backs and in subsets that create an interesting collecting opportunity. In addition, the same subjects were used in Tobacco Products in Canada as well as on strip cards in the U.S. as well. To collect all three types for all the different series combinations and permutations is a daunting challenge. The cards are diminutive black and white cards picturing movie stars from the 1920's and 1930's, are numbered on the front in the lower left and have advertising for Strollers cigarettes on the back from the Tobacco Products Corporation of New York City.
This lot of T85's numbers (15) of the very difficult "Portrait in Oval" subseries of T85 cards. The card numbers in the lot are: 15, 22, 26, 45, 60, 62, 68, 71, 72, 79, 91, 93, 101, 111 and 118. Cards are in VG to EXMT condition, averaging about EX.
