The N87 Duke Tobacco Shadows set is an interesting set issued by Duke picturing caricatured people whose likeness is being projected on a wall. The likeness typically shows up as looking like an animal of some sort. The likeness usually exaggerates some facial feature of the person who is being caricatured, creating the look of the animal on the wall. Many of the exaggerated features would be considered racist in today's world but were frequent memes about individuals and groups in the late 19th century.
Condition breakdown on this lot of (32) cards is as follows: VGEX to EX condition (8 cards), VG to VG+ condition (8 cards) and GVG or less (16 cards). The majority of the lower grade cards exhibit some very light issues with surface paper loss or flaking.
