The August Beck Tobacco Company of Chicago, Illinois issued a small amount of sets in the late 19th century, mostly under the Yum Yum advertising brand. In addition to the very difficult N403 Yum Yum baseball player cards, Beck issued 4 other sets of actresses, dancers and a mixed set of other subjects. The N398 set pictures Sports, Military, Ships and Native Americans. Most all the Beck sets are very difficult types and even more difficult to complete sets. The N398 cards are printed on a thin paper stock.
This single 1893 N398 Yum Yum Picture Cards is of the subject "Golf" that is in VGEX condition and clean--front and back. This is one of the earliest and toughest golf cards by a U.S. company.
