The UO23 is one of a number of series that gas stations offered as premiums for purchases. Throughout the 1950's in general and throughout the Western part of the U.S. in fparticular, Mobil and Union 76 among others issued card sets, booklets, stamps, coins and other incentives to drive people to buy their gas. The UO23 series is one of those premiums--having (15) cards picturing Man Made Wonders such as telescopes, aircraft carriers, planetariums, steamships, balloons and other man-made wonders. The series of cards, like many others, comes with an album made to hold the cards.
This pair of UO23 General Petrolium "Man-Made Wonders" Lot of (2) cards includes the subjects Boulder Dam and 200 inch telescope on Mt. Palomar. The cards are in VGEX condition.
