The R80 Novelty Gum League of Nations set is a 50 card set picturing a native with the country's flag in the background and a small vignette in the background of something for which the country is known. The cards were issued in packs and also had a small cardboard box that looked like a book that would hold all 50 cards. The box was available from a redemption offer and is very difficult to obtain. There is a box and wrapper in another lot in this auction.
This complete set of (50) Cards from the R80 Novelty Gum League of Nations set includes (7) PSA-graded copies including the following subjects: #6 Arabia (PSA6 EXMT(MC)), #14 China (PSA6 EXMT), #24 Greenland (PSA6 EXMT), #32 Mexico (PSA5 EX), #35 Palestine (PSA6 EXMT), #37 (PSA6 EXMT) and #43 Scotland (PSA5.5 EX+). Of the 43 ungraded cards, the cards range between VG and EXMT, averaging around VGEX/EX.
