The R20 Battleship Gum is a (50) card set of battleships issued by the Newport Products company. The cards were inserted into their product "Battleship Gum" as noted on the back. The cards are numbered and titled on both the front and the back and the backs of the cards have a small narrative about the ship pictured on the front. The cards are slightly thinner than the normal 1930's type cards and are printed on a somewhat porous stock, so condition issues are always present in any lot or set of these cards. The colors are great and so reminiscent of the 1930's type artwork.
This complete set of (50) cards runs the gamut between VG and EXMT with most cards being in the VGEX to EX range.
