The Mayfair company was a pretty prolific issuer of strip cards in the 1920's. The cards were typically point-of-sale advertising or premiums for likely buying candy. The American history set of 12 in in a 3x4 format with each card being approximately 1" x 2.25". The cards picture important points in the history of the United States. The titles included from left to right, top to bottom are: Columbus Discovering America, Pocahantas and Captain Smith, Dutch Landing in New York, William Penn buying Pennsylvania, Paul Revere's Ride, Washington Crossing the Delaware, Betsy Ross, Gen'l Fremont going West, Robt. Fulton's Steamboat, Lincoln's Freeing the Slaves, Teddy Roosevelt at San Juan and Aeroplanes Circling Statue of Liberty.
The sheet is in overall EX condition with clean front and yellow hatchmark back.
