The 1953 Topps License Plates set is Topps third foray into a license plate set. They issued the extremely small 1949 Topps license plates set in small pieces of gum, the 1950 Topps License plates set that had scratch off areas and this third license plate set. This is the largest set in physical size, measuring 3-3/4" wide by 1-7/8" high. The 75 cards in the set do not have any variations like the 1950 set does.

This lot is for a group of (8) PSA8 NMMT cards from the 1953 Topps License Plate set. The subjects with POP info include: #6 Colorado (POP4, 1 higher), #29 Texas (POP7, 3 higher), #31 Saskatchewan (POP7, none higher), #34 Washington DC (POP6, 3 higher), #37 Massachusettes (POP5, none higher), #50 South Australia (POP8, none higher), #52 Nova Scotia (POP6, 2 higher) and #60 Manitoba (POP4, 1 higher). Great lot of razor sharp cards for the set builder or high grade PSA collector.
