Scott's Porage Oats is a UK cereal company and apparently now part of the Quaker company. This lot is for (6) different "Epics of Courage and Endurance" Cereal box cut panels likely from the 1940's/1950's. The set includes #1 Jack cornwell VC, #2 First Channel Swim, #3 Evacuation of Dunkirk, #4 Vickers-Vimy Biplane, #5 Captain Scott's Antarctic Expedition and #6 Florence Nightengale. The panels were meant to be cut out and glued together to form a free-standing piece displaying the scene of courage and/or endurance.
The condition of all 6 panels are VGEX to EX condition. 3 of the six panels have a blank back and the other three appear to have been printed on some re-used stock that originally had advertising for J&P Coat's product 6 Cord Machine Cotton thread twelve packs. Not sure if these panels were production panels or possibly panels made for some type of proof process.
