The 1956 Topps Davy Crockett set was issued to commemorate the TV serial starring Fess Parker as the coonskin cap wearing adventurer, Davy Crockett. The show was a five part Disney serial issued in 1954 and 1955 and was wildly popular. The green-backed version of this set is significantly tougher than the orange-backed set.
