The T59 Flags set is a variation collector's wildest dream. It is believed that upwards of 7700+ cards could be collected in this set where the actual subjects only number 200. About a dozen different tobacco companies inserted these cards into their products and within those companies a number of different colors were used for the back printing as well as a number of different factories. The combinations and permutations of these rival the Old Judge and T206 baseball sets and actually number far more than either. Whether you attempt to finish just the 200 card set or do a back run of different types, there are many different ways to collect this set. If doing a back run, you'll find that one of the tougher backs to find examples of is the Puritan Little Cigars back.
This complete set of (200) Cards is generally lower condition with pretty even groups in the Poor, Fair/Good and VG range. The back breakdown includes Sub Rosa (19), Sweet Caporal Tobacco Wrappers (3), Jack Rose (61), Big Run (11) and Hustler (1). The rest of the backs are Recruit and Sweet Caporal.
