The T42 Birds set, like many of the tobacco-era sets, was issued by many different companies in many different products. Whether it's baseball players, fish, flags or birds, sets like T42 offer a set that can be collected in so many different ways. The set totals 100 cards--50 each of two different formats--one a white border format and the other a gold border format. The card backs can be found from different manufacturers and different factories--much like the T206 baseball series of a similar time frame.
This near set of (95/100) cards is in VG to VGEX condition with a couple lesser. The seven back variations include the following: Emblem (1), Sovereign (1), Old Mill (4) and Piedmont Overprint (1).
