The E3 American Caramel Navy Caramels is a (21) card set picturing battleships and other ships of the early 20th century. Most of the ships were involved in the Spanish American War and were part of the "White Squadron". The set also pictures the President's Yacht "Mayflower" which was also involved in the Spanish American War before being recommissioned as the presidential yacht around 1905 by Teddy Roosevelt. The set was likely issued sometime in the period between 1905 and 1910 by American Caramel. This set is completely graded by PSA and has an overal grade of 3.74. This grade would put it in a tie for 5th place on the PSA registry. Of the 154 cards PSA has graded from the set, only 27 have received a grade 6 or higher, so the set is relatively condition sensitive.
The set includes the following cards: PSA6: Illinois and Pennsylvania, PSA5: Ohio and Missouri, PSA4.5 Michigan, PSA4 Mayflower, Louisiana, North Carolina, Nebraska, Rhode Island, Washington, PSA3.5 New Jersey and Dolphin, PSA3 Connecticut, Tingey, Georgia, Montana, New Hampshire and PSA2 Delong, Vermont and Kansas. Although 10 of the cards are below VGEX condition, they all present very evenly and have the look of an EX condition set. Overall, a very nice set. Both PSA6 examples here are the highest copy with none higher.
