The R133/R144 Movie Star Strip sets are both (96) card sets picturing movie stars and movies of the day. The cards picture many famous movie stars like Will Rogers, Jimmy Durante and other lesser known stars. The R133 set card are numbered 101-196 while the R134 set numbers cards in the 501-596 range. As with most 1930's strip card sets, they were issued in 8 card strips as likely point of sale promotions for buying gum and candy.
This lot of (3) cards includes a pair of R133's to include #142 Tom Keene (VGEX) and #193 Jimmy Durante (GVG) as well as a single R134 of #545 Pinkey Tomlin (GVG). Nice group for the set builders or type card collectors.
