The W512 set is believed to be a (50) card set of strip cards that were typically issued on strips of (8) to (10) cards. The W512 set is one of many strip cards that were issued in what is most cases, the 1920's to early 1930's. Strip cards were an inexpensive way for companies to create a point of sale item to give for buying their wares. In most cases, a strip of cards were given for buying a piece of gum or candy for 1 to 2 cents. The W512 set includes boxers, celebrities, baseball players and aviators.
This single W512 is of the famous swimmer and Tarzan portrayer--Johnny Weismuller. It is in VGEX to EX condition and clean.
