The 1949 Topps License Plates set is a (50) card set of cards that were inserted into the very small pieces of Topps gum from 1949. The cards are very small at about 1/2" x 1". The cards picture a license plate on one side and a scene from the state on the other side. The scenes were covered by a scratch off film and the cards are frequently found with this film already scratched off or with varying amounts still intact. The cards are extremely scarce and the set is a very tough set to complete.
This lot is for a single piece of 1949 Topps Stop and Go Gum that is unopened and contains the original 1949 Topps License Plate card inserted between the wrapper and gum as issued. The license plate is for the state of Indiana. The pack and card are in VGEX to EX condition and clean.
