The R90 Mickey Mouse and the Movie Stars set was a 24 card set issued by Gum, Inc in 1935. It is a continuation of the R89 Mickey Mouse 96 card set, being numbered 97-120. The set is extremely difficult to find and commands a significant premium over the R89 cards. The cards picture Mickey Mouse with a movie star and some hints to that person's identity. The back has a spot to write the movie star's name and the majority of the ones in this auction have had that name written on the back in pen.
This single R90 Gum Inc Mickey Mouse with Movie Stars is for the subject #111 Lionel Barrymore in a solid VG-EX condition. Great, clean card from this very scarce set.
