The N228 Kinney Novelties is one of the more interesting groups of cards issued during the "N" timeframe of the late 1880's through early 1890's. There are 6 different groupings of cards within the N228 series. The N228-2 Novelties are round, thinner cards picturing beautiful ladies of the day. The cards are all head shots and can have backs colored in a number of different colors. The N228-2 ladies are significantly easier to find and complete than are the N228-1's.
This complete set of N228-2 Kinney Novelties are largely in VG to EX condition, averaging about VG-EX. There are two cards that have some vintage fountain pen initials written on the backs and a very few cards have some discoloration on the backs but no paper pulls or any significant condition issues.
