The R173 Gum Inc World in Arms set was one of a number of War sets that Gum Inc issued from the late 1930's through the early 1940's. The set totaled (48) cards and had an odd numbering scheme grouping cards into types of subjects such as ships, planes, artillery and others and then numbering the cards within those categories.
This set of (48) cards are primarily in VG to VGEX with a few lesser and a few better. 4-5 of the cards exhibit some back damage or stamps on the back of the card. In addition there are a very few cards that are in Fair/Good condition. Overall, with a very few upgrades, this could be a solid VG to VGEX condition set.
