The R9 Kerr's Butterscotch Airplane Pictures set is a (24) card set of small cards measuring 2-1/8" Wide by 1-1/2" High and have a blue-tinted airplane picture on the front of the card with the back having a small narrative on the back of the card. The cards are dated 1949 from Kerr's Butter Scotch of Brooklyn, NY. They offer a free model super-flyer airplane in exchange for spelling Kerr's Butter Scotch. The Key Letters are located in the lower right corner of the backs of the card. The set is a difficult set to complete as many of these cards may have been redeemed.
This single card from the R9 Kerr's Butterscotch Airplane Pictures is of the subject "BT-8 Seversky Basic Trainer" that is in about VG to VGEX condition but does have 'R-9' written in what appears to be crayon on the back of the card. TOUGH type card from a tough set.
