The R773 Goudey Indians is the re-issue of (96) cards of the (216) cards from 1933. The R773 series was issued around 1947 although some claim to have seen them as late as the early 1950's. The cards are numbered 1-96 and there aren't any variations to them as there are with the 1933 R73 series. As such, although collectible, they don't enjoy the same interest as their counterparts of 14 years earlier. The backs are black on them and they are more often found in slightly higher grade. Many of the same subjects are contained in the R773 set and subjects such as Sitting Bull and Pocahantas, Daniel Boone, Davie Crockett, Jim Bridger, Colonel Bowie and others may command a premium based on subject collectors.
This lot is for a group of (2) R773 Goudey Indian Gum Reissue cards--both of which have been graded by PSA and include the following subjects: #68 Chief Bread and #88 Running Fox. Both cards have been graded PSA5 or EX . Great lot of above grade cards from this popular set for the set builder.
