Auction #11 - June 2022
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/26/2022
This lot contains (4) Dixie Premiums from the early 1930's, most of which were mail away premiums for purchasing ice cream. The lot includes a pair of square premiums of "Billie" The Bison of the Dixies Circus. These premiums measure 7-1/4" by 8-3/4" in size. One version has the name of "Billie" at the bottom while the other has no name. Non-sport.com notes that the no name variety was issued very early in the run and is very scarce in comparison to the with name version. The with name version has a circle around the word "bison" under the name "Billie" in pencil. The next item in the lot is an 8-1/2" by 11" thin paper Dixie Nature Series of subject #21 Regal Fritillary and Delila. This premium is in Fair condition with issues on the right border as illustrated in the large photos. The final premium is a Jixie Dig Saw Prmium with artwork from Dan Smith of the subject #10 Quail. It is a 100 piece puzzle and is in VG to VGEX condition with a similar condition original mailing envelope. Great lot of rarely seen Dixie premiums for the type card collector.
