The R50 First Column Defenders by the Goudey Gum Company is a (24) card set picturing patriotic pictures at a time when the world was blowing up into World War II. It is one of many such patriotic sets, issued in 1940 right before the United States entered World War II. The cards picture colorful representations of the different armed services as well as other patriotic US symbols like the US Flag, an eagle, Uncle Sam and others.
This lot of (12) R50 Goudey Gum First Column Defenders are mostly in VG to VGEX condition with the exception of a couple lower grade cards.
