The T79 Military set is a (100) card set picturing military men from all over the world in their dress uniforms. The cards can be found with Fez, Tolstoi or Lenox backs--the latter of which being the toughest back to find. The cards picture soldiers from (17) different countries. Six countries have (10) subjects each including the United States, Great Britain, Italy, Japan, Russia and Spain. Two countries have but a single representative--Servia and Montenegro. Both enlisted and officers are included for many of the countries, so a good feel for what the uniforms of the looked like can be ascertained from looking at the cards.
This near set (99/100) cards from the T79 Military Series is in Good to EX condition, averaging VG/VGEX. The missing subject is "Great Britain Private Infantry Of The Line, Gr. Brit. " which can be found in a separate lot in this auction with the Jefferson Burdick back stamps.
