The N259 Lorillard "Types of the Stage" set is one of a number of Lorillard Tobacco sets from the late 1880's to early 1890's. The Types of the Stage set is a (25) card set with roles that would have been played in a stage play like "Ladies Maid" or "Spanish Student" or roles that are more specific like "Ophelia" for instance. The fronts are colorful and the backs are black print advertisements for a Lorillard product.

This lot of (22) cards from the N259 Lorillard Tobacco Types of the Stage set run in condition from about Poor to VGEX with most being around GVG/VG. There are three cards with moderate back damage and a couple that are Poor. The back types break up into (7) Tiger brand and (15) Five Cent Ante brand.
