The 1964 Topps Beatles Color set was the first of a number of Beatles sets from Topps in the mid 1960's. The Beatles rose to fame in England in the very early 1960's and by February of 1964 had jumped across the pond to the United States and appeared on the Ed Sullivan show on Feb 9, 1964. From that point on, there was no turning back for them. They became worldwide phenoms and sold millions and millions of albums while gaining an unparalleled fan base. The 1964 Topps Color set is a (64) card set picturing the band in photo fronts with white borders and backs with salmon-colored background and details about the band. Cards are numbered in the upper left corner of the backs in a black circle.
This set of (64) cards from the 1964 Topps Beatles Color set are largely in VGEX to EXMT, averaging about EX. Card #64 does have a crease and a pinhole at the top center of the card.
