The R112 Card-O Aircraft set is actually a number of subsets of playing card-sized sets picturing aircraft. During the 2nd World War and later, aircraft 'spotting' was a popular hobby and a way to get people involved into spotting if enemy aircraft were approaching. These cards proved helpful for people viewing these aircraft. The R112-9 set is a (9) card set or blue and black colored cards with silhouettes of airplanes.
