The F277-2 series of Heinz Airplanes is often called the Art Deco version of the F277-1 series due to the more crude pictures of the same subjects. The fronts and backs of the cards have the card number printed twice—on the bottom of the fronts and the top of the backs. In addition to the visual changes, in many instances, but not all, the planes are facing the opposite direction in the F277-2 series from the orientation of the F277-1 series. The F277-2 series is a tougher series to complete than the F277-1 and it also has the production codes on the back in the lower right corner. The codes on most of the F277-2 seem to end in 34 or 35, so it may be that this set predated the F277-1 series.
This amazing Heinz Rice Flakes poster is all original, measuring about 13" wide by 22" tall advertising for and picturing the F277-2 Heinz Rice Flakes Modern Aviation album and the matching Art Deco type cards. The poster is in VGEX condition with some pieces of tape on the back in three spots at the top of the poster and one at the bottom. There is some light wrinkling/creasing throughout the poster as would be expected for something nearly 85 years old and of this size. The piece is an absolute knock out and would be ideal for any advanced Heinze Aviation collection.
