Among the multitude of sets Kinney issued were two sets of butterflies. The N217-1 set pictures (10) different butterflies with lighter white backgrounds while the N217-2 set pictures (50) different butterflies with a gold colored background. This lot includes a complete set of the N217-1 white background butterflies. Unlike the N217-1 white background series, the N217-2 gold background series have no numbers on the cards, so completing the set can be, at times, daunting.
This lot of (21) N217-2 Kinney Tobacco Butterflies is largely in VGEX condition. There are, however, (3) cards with paper loss on the back as well as a couple cards with light writing on the back. The lot would be perfect for the set builder.
