Congress Cut Plug tobacco issued a couple different series of cards during the late part of the 19th century. The N534 Series is a chromolithographed card in full color with black borders and advertising at the bottom front. The second classification is N652 which falls into a more common type of albumen photo card with advertising on the bottom front. In both instances, the advertising says "Use Congress Cut Plug". Both series measure 2-1/4" by 4"
in size.
This N534 Congress Cut Plug Actress Type card is in higher grade for the issue around EX or so. The card pictures an actress seated with arms in the air. The black borders and black back are clean with little wear.
