The N228 Kinney Novelties is one of the more interesting groups of cards issued during the "N" timeframe of the late 1880's through early 1890's. There are 6 different groupings of cards within the N228 series. The N228-1 Novelties are round, thick cards picturing beautiful ladies of the day. The cards are all head shots and can have backs colored in a number of different colors.

This lot is for a group of (27) of the N228-5 Kinney Brothers Novelties (Square Version) cards. This lot is very clean and above average for lots of cards from this series. (24) of the cards fall into the VG to EX range, averaging VGEX. The other (3) cards have some type of back damage or heavier creasing. Just a great lot for the set builder.
