The N171 Goodwin Old Judges Celebrities & Miscellaneous lot includes a number of actress cards as well as cards for other celebrities. The cards are albumen photo cards adhered to heavy cardboard--similar to the N172 Old Judge baseball series that is immensely popular. The cards can be found with varying degrees of photo clarity and in varying conditions. The backs are blank and the fronts contain varying types of advertising for Old Judge--mostly at the bottom of the card.
This single card pictures Sir Jas. Paget from the N171 Old Judge Celebrities set that has been graded PSA2 Good. Sir James Paget was an English surgeon and pathologist who is best remembered for naming Paget's disease[1] and who is considered, together with Rudolf Virchow, as one of the founders of scientific medical pathology.
