Auction #6 - October 2020
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/25/2020
Many different forms of advertisement were used to hawk tobacco from the mid 19th century until even today. No period was more prolific than the end of the 19th century into the first 15-20 years of the 20th century. Between cards, pins, felts, silks, leathers, bookmarks, booklets and other vehicles for advertising, tobacco companies fought to keep and expand their market share through whatever method possible. P. Lorillard was one of the manufactures that issued cards and other inserts and also produced small booklets containing information and premiums that could be had for coupon redemption.
This lot includes a pair of P. Lorillard booklets including the titles - "A Vest Pocket Full of Information" and "Puffs of Wisdom". Both booklets measure around 3x4 inches and are in VG to VGEX condition.
