Topps issued a “Robin Hood” series in 1957, commemorating the TV show starring Richard
Greene. Not to be done, the sponsor of the show, Johnson & Johnson, issued its own 20-card series,
which appears on the market far less often than the Topps version.
This specimen is surely one of the
finest such sets known, as it is in crisp Near mint condition all-around (with the exception of card #5,
which because of a bit too much wear on one corner must be graded at EX+). Each card contains color
scenes from the TV show and is an exquisite little gem. You will likely not see a set of comparable quality
come on the market for a long time! All cards stored in Cardsaver 1 holders and mounted in plastic pages
in a looseleaf binder, for convenient viewing.
