The T42 Birds set, like many of the tobacco-era sets, was issued by many different companies in many different products. Whether it's baseball players, fish, flags or birds, sets like T42 offer a set that can be collected in so many different ways. The set totals 100 cards--50 each of two different formats--one a white border format and the other a gold border format. The card backs can be found from different manufacturers and different factories--much like the T206 baseball series of a similar time frame.
The condition breakdown on this set is as follows: 15% VG to VGEX, 35% G to GVG and 50% lesser. The set is a mixed-back set as shown in the scans that outline all the card fronts and a sample page of card backs.
