The T41 Leroy Little Cigars Battleships set is a (25) card set that pictures beautifully illustrated pictures of battleships best known for their interactions in the Spanish American war and being part of the "White Squadron". The USS Maine is included which was sunk in Havana harbor setting off the Spanish American War. It was the subject of the phrase "Remember the Maine". The set is one of three sets T39-T41 picturing battleships from three different companies. The T41 set advertises for Leroy Little Cigars and can be found in two different formats--with a white border around the whole card or with the border cut close to the black line outlining the inset picture on the card. There doesn't seem to be any premium for either type of card.
This lot of (7) cards features both types of cards--the bordered and the no border versions. The bordered versions in this lot include: Detroit, The Philadelphia(2). The non bordered versions include Brooklyn, Baltimore, Katahdin and a card missing paper over the name of the card. The cards range in from condition from Poor to VG with about 1/2 being VG and the other half Poor to Good.
