Of the college tobacco silks, the S28 Lauren's tobacco is probably the second scarcest to the Contentnea silks in the following lot. The Lauren's silks are pennant-shaped and sometimes difficult to find in nice shape without end fraying. Like the S25 Egyptienne Luxury set, this set is a more well-rounded set of silks featuring colleges from all around the country.
The condition of this near set (40/51) is primarily in the VG to EXMT range with the majority of the silks in the EX to EX- range. The grouping is missing only Adelphia, Amherst, Bowdoin, Bucknell, CCNY, C.U. Kentucky (Louisville), Texas, U of Chicago, U of Minnesota, Washington & Lee and Yale to be complete. These silks are tough to locate and a group this size would be believed to be one of the larger groupings in the hobby.
