The R89 Gum Inc Mickey Mouse set is a 96 card set of one of the most popular comic characters of all time. Mickey Mouse's popularity exploded in the early 1930's and Gum, Inc of Philadelphia, PA sought to capitalize on that with their set. The set was issued in two different series of 48 cards with each having a companion album. More often than not, the cards found themselves glued into the albums so finding high grade cards is difficult.
This lot of (69) R89 Gum Inc Mickey Mouse contains a mix of Type I and Type II cards with (4) cards having both types. The lot runs the gamut in condition from Fair to EX with most cards being in the GVG to VG range. Eight cards have some amount of back damage from corner issues to larger areas of damage. Great lot of cards from this very popular set for the set builder.
