The R423 set of strip cards were meant to be detached and are often found in the small plastic charms of the day that were inserted into bubble gum machine 'eggs'. These may have movie star subjects, western movie subjects and baseball subjects as well.
This lot includes (5) of the 1950's charms with the R423 cards inserted as well as a strip of 7 cards with the subjects (left to right): Humphrey Bogart, Farley Granger, Tom Mix, Eddie Dew, Bob Steele, Sunset Carson and Randolph Scott. Also included is a single detached card of Gene Autrey. All the pieces in the lot range from VG to EX. Nice grouping.
